Job seekers are invited to attend Kern County’s upcoming career expo on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kern County Administrative Center at 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA, 93301.
Dozens of departments will be on hand recruiting for extra-help and full-time positions, offering on-the-spot interviews, and giving potential hires the opportunity to get to know their teams.
All public safety departments will be in attendance to showcase their various equipment and open positions.
Additionally, the Kern County Sheriff's Office will be testing for Deputy Sheriff Trainee and Sheriff Detentions Trainee positions at 10 a.m. on a first come, first serve basis.
There will also be on the spot interviews for Per Diem Elections Process Aides and for positions with Auditor/Controller-County Clerk-Elections, Behavioral Health, Public Works, Human Services, General Services, and Airports.
The Human Resources Training Room will be open for job seekers to complete both permanent and extra-help applications.
Additionally, Veterans Service will be at the event in a dual role – to discuss employment with their department and serve as a resource for veterans seeking employment with Kern County. Animal Services will also discuss employment with their department along with recruiting volunteers.
